The aim of this course is to orientate learners in terms of instructional design theory and practice. Specifically, students will be taken through the design and development computer-based learning programmes to meet specified learning needs. Students will also be taken through the process of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of computer based instructional materials. It will also equip learners to be able to decide if drills, tutorials, simulations or games are the most appropriate solution to a given problem and why. The approaches that would be used in the delivery of this course should prepare trainees to be mindful of gender roles and issues about equity and inclusivity by paying attention to the learning progress of all students.ter a short description of the course.
